Welcome to the Trunk
I have this trunk, that I found at a thrift store, in my home, and if you were to open it you would see a couple of pieces of baby clothing, pictures, devotionals (that my family and I read through and actually signed; meaning that we finished them together as a family), and a couple of worn Bibles; actually, those Bibles are no longer used because they have been very much used. Why do I have these items? Well, they are not only special, but I have found them to be essential for holding onto. One way or another, there has been a sweet reminder that must not be forgotten, a lesson that needs to be taught, or something that I want to pass on. I would say, there are just somethings that I cannot let go of! I would say, the trunk is more than just a physical box, but it is everything that is important to me with everything that is important crammed into this trunk!
Well, “The Trunk” is also my life’s lessons in writing. You see, as I have traveled in this life there have been so many times of learning, heartaches, struggles, intervening from above, and victories! During those times, there have been things that I have needed to hold on to. So, I could continue pressing on in this life! Needless to say, there is only so much I can carry on a daily basis and tuck away in my trunk. In my life, I also choose to carry what matters, and I call them “Suitcase Essentials”. Once a month, you will get a “Suitcase Essential” that will encourage you. With that said, I hope you will find out what is worth packing away in your daily suitcase to eventually understand, what is worth saving for the long haul. So, come along with me. My Frist devotion to come is called: “FOG”
Till again,
Catherine
